Mother-Child Program

Program Overview

Goal: Empower women with children living on the streets by providing housing, vocational training, mentorship, and career launch support, while ensuring their children receive education scholarships.
Duration: 12 months per cohort (10 women + children).
Cycle: Continuous annual intake.

Phase 1:

Intake & Accommodation (Month 0–1) - Screening & Selection

Develop transparent eligibility criteria, homeless status, willingness to commit, health clearance. Conduct interviews and background checks.

Onboarding: Provide orientation on program rules, expectations, and support services. Assign case managers.
Accommodation: Prepare campus housing with basic amenities. Offer immediate healthcare check-ups and counseling.

Phase 2:

Vocational Training (Month 1–6)

Interest Assessment. Conduct skills and interest mapping for each woman.

Training Programs: Partner with vocational institutes (e.g., tailoring, culinary arts, IT basics, healthcare assistance). Provide stipends for personal needs.
Support Services: Offer childcare facilities on campus. Ensure children are enrolled in nearby schools with scholarships.

Phase 3:

Apprenticeship & Mentorship (Month 7–8)

Apprenticeship Placement. Collaborate with local businesses for short-term apprenticeships.
Provide transport stipends and workplace readiness training.

Mentorship: Pair each woman with an industry mentor. Conduct monthly mentor-mentee check-ins.

Phase 4:

Career Launch & Counseling (Month 9–12)

Employment Support: Organize job fairs with partner companies. Provide resume workshops, interview coaching, and soft skills training.
Counseling: Offer financial literacy, parenting workshops, and emotional resilience sessions.
Transition Planning: Assist with housing referrals post-graduation. Continue children’s scholarships beyond program exit.
Graduation & Cycle Renewal: Celebrate achievements, invite donors and partners.
New Intake: Begin screening for the next batch immediately after graduation.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Monthly Reviews: Track progress in training, apprenticeships, and employment readiness.
Impact Metrics: Employment rate post-program. Children’s school attendance and performance.
